Census Business Builder - Small Business Edition

The Census Business Builder: Small Business Edition allows small business owners a way to easily navigate to and use key demographic and economic data to help guide their research into opening a new or expanding their existing business. These key data includes the most recent and/or relevant data that Census provides that are useful to small business owners

Census Reporter

Census Reporter is a Knight News Challenge-funded project to make it easier for journalists to write stories using information from the U.S. Census bureau. Place profiles and comparison pages provide a friendly interface for navigating data, including visualizations for a more useful first look.

FrameFinder

Web map application provided by University of California Santa Barbara (USSB) Map Library. Search for and download for free more than 400,000 individual aerial photographs online from 1926 to present day.

Healthy City

HealthyCity.org is an easy-to-use online platform for accessing data, creating maps, and finding local information on services. Available information includes local public services points, demographic data, economic data, housing data, and health/safety data.

On TheMap

OnTheMap is an online mapping and reporting application showing where workers are employed and where they live with companion reports on worker characteristics and optional filtering by age, earnings, or industry groups. It provides an easy-to-use interface for creating, viewing, printing and downloading workforce related maps, profiles, and underlying data.

StatsAmercia

The goal of StatsAmerica is to provide actionable data in the form of tools, reports, and maps for economic developers to use in site requests, developing metrics, grant writing, and strategic planning. StatsAmerica is a service of the Indiana Business Research Center (IBRC) at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business with support from the Economic Development Administration.

Department of Water Resources Disadvantaged Communities Mapping Tool

The Department of Water Resources (DWR) has developed a web-based application to evaluate disadvantaged community (DAC) status throughout the State, using the definition provided by Proposition 84 IRWM Guidelines (2015). The DAC Mapping Tool is an interactive map application that allows users to overlay census geographies that meet the DAC definition are shown on the map (i.e., only those with an annual median household income (MHI) that is less than 80 percent of the Statewide annual MHI.

US EPA EJScreen

EJSCREEN is an environmental justice mapping and screening tool that provides EPA with a nationally consistent dataset and approach for combining environmental and demographic indicators. EJSCREEN users choose a geographic area; the tool then provides demographic and environmental information for that area. All of the EJSCREEN indicators are publicly-available data. EJSCREEN simply provides a way to display this information and includes a method for combining environmental and demographic indicators into EJ indexes.

SB535 Disadvantaged Communities

An online map that shows the disadvantaged communities designated by CalEPA for the purpose of SB 535. These areas represent the 25% highest scoring census tracts in CalEnviroScreen 2.0. Additional information on SB 535 is available at the CalEPA website. CalEnviroScreen 2.0 information, including a detailed description of indicators and methodology is available at the OEHHA website.

Bay Area Equity Atlas

he Bay Area Equity Atlas is a comprehensive data support system to track the state of equity across the region and equip community leaders with data to inform solutions for inclusive prosperity. The Atlas is produced by the San Francisco Foundation, PolicyLink, and the USC Program for Environmental and Regional Equity (PERE).
